Laurie DiMatteo-Weiner PMA-CPT, ACE-CPT - is passionate about health and fitness and has dedicated her entire career to helping others achieve life-long wellness. Her interest in fitness as a lifestyle began at a young age when she witnessed her father’s dedication for coaching team sports and encouraging his children to participate in athletics.

She began her 20-year career in 1995 as a fitness instructor for Bally Total Fitness, quickly advancing to Group Fitness Manager of four clubs within three years. During this time, she first encountered Pilates and fell in love with its transformative capacity to heal. She started teaching Pilates Mat and Pilates Reformer classes in 1996, and soon became well-versed in a wide range of applied Pilates techniques and equipment classes including Balletone, Rebounding, and BOSU.

In 2000, she took a brave leap and opened her own Pilates studio. She has been richly rewarded many times over by witnessing the physical and emotional transformations in her clients as they recover from injuries, manage their chronic conditions, decrease pain, and gain confidence and self-esteem. She counts athletes of all levels among her clients including weekend warriors, high school swim team members, and professional athletes such as members of the Philadelphia Eagles and an international ice skating team. She also works with all ages. Her clientele range from children who are just beginning their fitness journey to seniors who want to increase mobility.

After discovering the Gyrotonic Expansion System several years ago, Laurie was so impressed by the way she felt after her sessions that she resolved to share that experience with her clients. In 2013, she added Gyrotonic to her services, and is currently in the process of adding Gyrokinesis to her program.

Laurie also offers a rigorous, in-depth instructor training program what prepares participants to become excellent teachers of the Pilates Method. Her program follows the Pilates Sports Center Education approach, preserving the classic method from the 1920's and adding in contemporary knowledge and principles. The all-inclusive 450-hour program features small class sizes, a thorough review of human anatomy, and training pilates equipment. Participants are ready for the Pilates Method Alliance certification exam at completion.

Graduates of her program have moved into successful careers teaching Pilates to clients at local schools, physician's offices, and in Laurie's Pilates Plus studio. Laurie also offers continuing education courses to help instructors maintain PMA certification.

Laurie is a Certified Personal Trainer through the American Council on Exercise (ACE), and is also certified as a Pilates Teacher (Pilates Method Alliance) and a Master Pilates Teacher (Pilates Sports Center). She holds over a dozen certifications in fitness, Pilates, and Gyrotonic and continues her own ongoing training so she can apply advances in exercise science to her practice.

She promotes a holistic approach to health and fitness, and develop-s personalized programs to keep the body in harmony and balance. Her mission is to help her clients stay strong structurally and live an active lifestyle regardless of injuries, fitness level, or age. Most importantly, she loves what she does. It's a passion she brings with her every day.

Dee Arnold - I found Pilates as a matter of necessity. As an avid runner and group fitness instructor, I found myself becoming chronically injured. I had to then find some sort of rehab-based movement that would allow me to continue what I love to do the most...run!! To overcome injuries, I sought out Pilates and it has been nothing short of a miracle!! Pilates is a sort of massage that uses movement to strengthen the core (back and front as well as the sides) and create symmetry in the body so your movement can become both efficient and powerful.

Pilates focuses on alignment during movement, while Yoga focuses on static poses and isometric contractions. Both practices complement each other in different ways with different goals.

I am a licensed massage therapist. My goal is to utilize both the movement as well as manual therapy to help clients get out of pain and learn how to move better.

Jen Tedesco - came to Pilates through ballet. As a professional dancer she trained with instructors to further her dancing abilities. Having danced with the International Ballet Theatre, Sarasota Ballet and Pennsylvania Ballet she retired from dancing from an injury and started teaching ballet and planned on pursuing a pilates certification but marriage and babies came first. She had been teaching ballet for the past 10 years when a friend convinced her to get a barre certification. this renewed her desire to complete her certification in pilates. She started working with Laurie Weiner and fell in love. Her previous exposure to pilates had taught her what it can do to help a dancer but how it can help people from all walks of life and injuries abound was thrilling. She recently completed her training in Pilates Mat and Reformer under Laurie Weiner. She is excited to work with Laurie and loves to "convert" people. She has hooked many of her friends who had not previously tried pilates. She also loves introducing pilates to children as her own three children are now practicing.
