Jen Tedesco

Jen Tedesco

Jen Tedesco came to Pilates through ballet. As a professional dancer, she trained with instructors to further her dancing abilities. Having danced with the International Ballet Theatre, Sarasota Ballet and Pennsylvania Ballet, she retired from dancing following an injury and started teaching ballet and planned on pursuing a pilates certification but marriage and babies came first. She had been teaching ballet for the past 10 years when a friend convinced her to get a barre certification. This renewed her desire to complete her certification in Pilates. She started working with Laurie Weiner and fell in love. Her previous exposure to Pilates had taught her what it can do to help a dancer, but how it can help people from all walks of life and injuries abound was thrilling. She recently completed her training in Pilates Mat and Reformer under Laurie Weiner. She is excited to work with Laurie and loves to "convert" people. She has hooked many of her friends who had not previously tried Pilates. She also loves introducing Pilates to children, as her own three children are now practicing.
